the term "American Car" is so misinterpreted now adays anyways. For instance, I recall hearing that Ford actually buys Chinese parts for their cars. So how can you really call that an "American Car"? I would hope to believe that if it's American every piece on that car is made in America and assembled here as well. On the flip side, Japanese cars are partially assembled here in the States too. I'm in no way shape or form anti American, I love this country, but the whole car thing is just getting too diverse as far as countries who contribute parts to the production. I don't really catch too much flack about driving a foreign car, besides, like zmanlp said, "I'm driving a Z!"
